Why CHF 980 / EUR 1,060 per year?

Transparent pricing without hidden costs

Traditional CCMS systems often cost five to six-figure amounts – plus training, maintenance and consulting. DokuTech.app offers comparable core features at a fraction of the price. Here we explain why this is possible and what exactly is included.

No sales team, no overhead

DokuTech.app is operated directly by the developer. No sales commissions, no trade fair costs, no bloated administrative apparatus. The savings are passed directly to you.

Cloud-native architecture

The application runs entirely in the cloud. No local installation, no server maintenance, no individual configuration. This significantly reduces operating costs.

Fair flat rate instead of user licences

CHF 980 / EUR 1,060 per year per company – whether you have 2 or 20 editors. No user limits, no volume restrictions, no hidden additional costs.

Everything included

Included in the price: all features, all updates, AI translation in 30+ languages, PDF export with corporate design, text modules, customer portal, email dispatch and email support.

DokuTech.app

The Founder Behind DokuTech Swiss

For over 25 years, I have worked in industry – as a machine builder, technical writer and software developer. I know the challenges of technical documentation first-hand: confusing Word documents, missing standard structures, tedious translation processes and expensive CCMS systems that are hardly affordable for SMEs.

I developed DokuTech.app because I wanted a solution I would have liked to have myself: an editorial system that makes standards-oriented operating manuals simple – without six-figure investments, without months-long implementation projects and without an IT department.

My experience in mechanical engineering, technical writing and software development flows directly into product development. Every feature in DokuTech.app solves a concrete problem I have experienced in practice.

All data is transmitted and stored encrypted. Access to your company space is protected by user authentication. Only invited editors have access.

After cancellation, you have sufficient time to export your data. Subsequently, all data is completely and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

No, this is technically impossible. DokuTech.app uses the OpenAI API with a contractual data protection guarantee (Data Processing Agreement): your content is processed exclusively for your request and then immediately discarded. The AI has no memory between requests – it knows neither your previous texts nor other customers' data. Additionally, every company works in a completely isolated company workspace with its own database filtering. Access to another company's data is impossible, whether through the user interface, the API, or the AI. Your operating manuals, technical terms, and trade secrets remain exclusively in your company workspace.

Risk Assessment

Risk assessment per ISO 12100 is a systematic process for identifying hazards, evaluating associated risks and defining protective measures for machines. It is mandatory for all machines under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. DokuTech guides you through the entire process with a 9-step workflow.

The AI analyses your machine type, construction groups and operating description and automatically identifies potential hazards from 15 categories per EN ISO 12100 Annex B. Each suggestion includes the appropriate ISO 7010 warning symbol and a detailed description. You retain full control: each suggestion can be accepted, modified or rejected.

The standards matrix includes over 77 standards in four categories: A-standards (e.g. ISO 12100), B1-standards (e.g. ISO 13849-1), B2-standards (e.g. ISO 14120) and C-standards (machine-specific). Relevant standards are automatically assigned based on your industry. The AI can also suggest standards based on the machine description.

Residual risks requiring a user warning can be transferred at the click of a button as warning blocks into the operating manual. The system automatically generates the warning with the correct warning symbol, signal word and multilingual description per ANSI Z535.6.

DokuTech offers hazard catalogues for nine industries: woodworking, metalworking, food industry, plastics processing, conveyor technology, robotics/automation, packaging technology, printing technology and textile machines. All catalogues are available in four languages and contain industry-specific hazards with appropriate warning symbols.

Yes, the AI configuration is fully customisable. You can define technical terms and terminology, an industry context, tone and writing style as well as your own industry templates. All AI-generated texts take these settings into account. Your configuration data remains strictly within your company space – other tenants have no access.

Yes, DokuTech meets both the requirements of the current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, which becomes mandatory from 20 January 2027. The structured workflow and integrated standards matrix ensure that all regulatory requirements are covered.

Features

You can create operating manuals, assembly instructions, user manuals, declarations of conformity, declarations of incorporation, risk assessments, maintenance manuals, spare parts lists and supplier declarations – all standards-compliant according to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and prepared for the new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.

All 537 chapters in the 10 system templates contain predefined AI prompts. The operating manual alone comprises 92 standard chapters (16 main and 76 sub-chapters based on EN ISO 20607). Your editors only add the machine-specific data – the AI generates professional, standards-compliant texts.

DokuTech.app supports four languages: German, French, Italian and English. The AI translation is not limited to German as the source language – you can freely choose from which of the four languages to translate.

Text modules (Transclusion) are reusable chapters that you can integrate as reference modules into as many templates as you like. Changes to the source chapter are automatically updated in all referencing documents.

Yes, each tenant can configure their own corporate design: primary and secondary colours, Google Fonts, font sizes, logo upload and positioning as well as headers and footers.

DokuTech.app supports the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, EN ISO 20607, DIN EN ISO 12100, DIN EN 82079-1 and the VDI 4500 series.

Use Cases & Suitability

DokuTech.app is designed for machine builders, equipment manufacturers, importers, technical writers and SMEs who need to create standards-oriented operating manuals, assembly instructions or user guides. The software is particularly suitable for companies that document according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC or the new EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 and need their documentation in multiple languages.

DokuTech.app is not a general content management system and is not intended for marketing copy, websites or general office documents. It is specifically designed for technical documentation in mechanical engineering and related industries. If you don't need standards-related documentation, there are more suitable tools available.

For creating technical documentation and operating manuals, DokuTech.app can replace Word. The WYSIWYG editor offers standard-specific control characters (warnings, action instructions), AI-powered text optimisation, automatic translation and PDF export with corporate design – features that would need to be implemented manually in Word. For other document types such as letters or presentations, Word remains the appropriate tool.

Yes, DokuTech.app was developed in Switzerland and is particularly tailored to the needs of SMEs in the DACH region. Data is stored on a Swiss server, the software supports four languages (DE/FR/IT/EN) and the price of CHF 980 per year is affordable even for smaller companies. There is no user limit and no hidden costs.

Yes, you can import PDF files and images via drag & drop into your documentation. DokuTech.app automatically detects the language from the file name (DE, FR, IT, EN) and assigns the file to the corresponding language version. This allows you to gradually migrate existing documentation into DokuTech.app.

You write your texts in any of the four languages (German, French, Italian, English). With one click, the AI translates the text into the desired target language. You can translate individual chapters or entire documents in batch mode. Verified translations can be locked with the Translation Lock – batch translation then automatically skips approved chapters.
